Hence, Jesus & the Apostles all kept kosher, observed the Scriptural Sabbath & studied Torah.
Didn't Jesus then teach Christians to do as He did? So, why do Christians do none of what He taught?

Laff, technically; yes, He did. They call it being born again.

Reese, since you claim baptism is being born again, then the theif who was not baptised yet Jesus said he'd be in Paradise with Him; how do you explain his access to Heaven?

Bob T; go study Peters' vision in context. 1) Nowhere does Peter claim to have eaten pork. 2) The vision had to do with unclean Gentiles (such as yourself) being given the faith of the Jews.

I don't know Sawyer! You would think they should want to do what Jesus did! I have a feeling Christianity looks so much different than it did in the days of Christ and the Apostles! The Law is an important part of who God's people were and continue to be. Because it set a standard that we all should strive to keep. There SHOULD be a standard of pure and undefiled worship that we are not seeing in Christianity today! Wonderful question! May the Lord bless you!

No offense but you have it backward . . .
grace free us from the law.
God doesn't expect us live perfectly but to aspire to perfection out of gratitutde for the gift of His son Jesus.
The apostles didn't not live kosher. Read gospel were Peter has a vision to go visit the gentiles -God revealed to him that all animals were "clean" to eat.
Finally, Christians do study the Torah it's the first 5 books of the Bible most often during Sunday school while keeping the Sabath.
God Bless

God made a pact with the Jews separately. Jesus was a jew and followed those traditions. But Jesus came to save 'all' mankind. Also, you don't seem to understand what 'Grace' is, it has nothing to do with law, Sabbaths or eating. Also the nation of the Jews, were warned (constantly), through many prophets about their punishments, which they chose to ignore. You have suffered greatly but you wallow in it eternally.

because the new testament was not written. Also Jesus did not teach Christians to do as he did. He taught all who were willing to listen given the fact that when he lived, Christianity was not yet in existence. His message was peace and love not necessarily "healing" people

dude... being born again and resurrecting are two totally different things. Born again is being Baptized not actually raising from the dead.

If not language barriers separate you from understanding truth or you are just blinded by your being a religious fanatic. Christianity is not a religion. It is a life believing that in Christ alone we can have eternal life. Look at your dictionaries. Grace is opposite of law. Law is of work while grace is a free gift. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Yes surely grace bears good fruit because anything we plant, thats the one that will grow. God planted love in grace, so it should bear good fruits then not the opposite.

yes. why would you ask this question? I believe that the teaching YOU have sat under, both in Jerusalem and in the US, have taught that we are not bond by the law of the Old Testament because Christ did away with the need for that with HIS perfect sacrifice. The Vail in the Temple was torn from the TOP to the BOTTOM.The Holy Place was opened up to all of us when Christ died. What Christ did for us does not need to be re-done over and over like the rituals followed before His coming.

NO thank you!

You want to put a burden on the brethren that none of the forefathers can keep? Is that what I am seeing here?

So you would side with James. Okay, have it your way, but that would be building upon wood, hay, and straw.

Yeah, but people who are willing to live by a law that we have been freed from need to be willing to live by ALL of the law and that includes blood sacrifices as well as penalties of death for many of the sins we just get God's grace for.

The greatest commandment of all is to Love one another-- this fulfills the law!
So through the grace of God-- when we are saved....if we are loving one another, we are obeying all of the laws. We are not going to be judged by God's laws, when we are under His grace- that is the difference between the saved and unsaved. Those who are not saved are still bound by the law- by sin. But it is the grace of God that sets us free from that BONDAGE. And we are forgiven-- free of sin. We WANT to obey God- and Jesus tells us the greatest commandment of all is to love one another-- when we do this, we are obeying ALL other laws ( if you love someone, you will not lie to them, if you love someone you will not murder, nor steal, nor commit adultery....you get the point I am sure)

Those who are saved in Jesus Christ are not going to be judged by the law. We are set free from that judgment. Because we have been washed clean by the blood of the Lamb! Jesus Christ!

Yes, grace enables us to fulfill the law, but the bible also says that "in Christ we are set free from the law of sin and death.
