My cat found a peppermint candy that had fallen on the kitchen floor and started to lick it. Her reaction to it was similar to how she reacts to catnip (rubbing against everything, rolling around on the floor). My question then, is peppermint dangerous to cats? She only managed to lick the candy a couple times before I noticed and took it away, so I'm not really worried about her health, just curious as she seemed to enjoy it.

I think peppermint is catnip or at least in the same family of herbs they use in catnip toys.

it's not dangerous, it just makes them sort of high. they can get a little bit more aggressive than usual when trying to get to it.
