I don't think God is interested in owning us, but more likely guiding us is the real motive.

Ha! Wow. Well, God doesn't own your soul until you willfully surrender yourself to His loving hand, otherwise it's dead and useless. And that once you've placed the immortal soul into God's hands no one can take you from it.
So therein lies the scam. That soul already belongs to God. So you'll be buying something you can never own. There goes your three bucks.

It's not an ownership, it's a fellowship and relationship. You can other serve God or not things associate with him, but it can't be both and he says this point blank in the bible numerous of times. 1. Thou shall love the lord thy God, with all thy heart, soul and mind. 2. Thou shall have no other gods before me. God just wants us to have a relationship with us, because we are his creation and this is why we exist because he desires communion with us.
In Genesis 3, everything came to a halt when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thus not believing and understanding that God meant what he said don't eat contents on the tree and they became separated from him that day, which is also why when we are born into this world, we are spiritual disconnected from God.
He wanted this connection back, so this is the reason why Jesus died on the cross for our sins to correct what happened in genesis 3.
All we have to do, is believe that Jesus is God, believe that we are sinners and he died on the cross because of that and ask him to come into our hearts, lives, being and save us from our sinful nature.
Believe me, once you ask him. The connection is there and it's real and no matter what goes on in your life, he has your back and can guide you in the right pathway. He doesn't want Satan to have us.
The best way to understand further is by reading the bible and pray for understanding of his word when you read it.

It's impossible to "sell" your soul to anyone. It is an eternal part and parcel of God's energy. Besides, without a soul, there is no "you".
Plus, since there is nothing that God doesn't "own," so to speak, even if you could sell your soul to Satan, God owns Satan's soul too, and therefore yours. So either way.

While the ebay product is funny no one really owns your soul. They can't, if they did they would have complete control over you, your life and afterlife. Think puppet master, no more thoughts, no more decisions, no free will. Only you own your soul, while anything can persuade you to follow one path or another, your decisions/choices are entirely yours to make. That and it would take more than just an empty jar to contain your soul. ;)

We either give our soul to God or Satan...It depends on who we serve and whether you want to admit it or not you have to serve somebody whether it be God or Satan.

That is a lie; the devil is running your life unless you have made Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior. The devil will lead you around by what you think, feel, see, hear, smell, and touch.

you own your own soul because you own your own destiny.
Rather that is heaven or hell. He gives you the opportunity do as you please with your life. Therefore, I do not believe he owns your soul.
