The only way is DANGEROUS...

Warm liquids will increase the circulation in the soft tissues and encourage the elimination of the Novocaine... BUT BUT BUT, you can also BURN your mouth because you cannot sense how hot the liquid is.

That is one reason they usually warn you not to eat or drink hot things until the Novocaine wears off.

So, I wouldn't try it...better to tough it out.

That medicine is also keeping the pain in your mouth from hurting like crazy after the operation. When it wears off you better have some prescription pain killer there to get through the next hours.

That is why I would not be rushing those meds losing their effectiveness.

I DON'T THINK, I KNOW THAT THIS WILL JUST TAKE TIME. SO, TAKE IT EASY AND READ A BOOK OR WATCH TV.
