Good looks are a cosmic joke. They disappear and leave you a bag of wrinkles.

Every human is more valuable than one thinks. God made the human above the Angels of God. Because God gave us the ability to reason and think, and the ability to choose. The Angels don't have any of that. So that makes us very valuable. Even the children born handicapped, can't speak, can't walk, retarded, all are of value in some way.

"A lake of gold in a desert is less than a cool fresh spring." In everyone's eyes, something has different value. One view that never changes, however, is God's. God believes everyone is valuable; he created you and loves you dearly.
No matter what the world values in a human, whether it be good looks, personality, intelligence, productivity to improve society, you will always have value from God!
Best of luck!

A human being's "value" is completely arbitrarily assigned by other human beings. In reality, we're not worth all that much to the rest of reality.
If we were all magically gone tomorrow, the universe would just keep on existing without us.
Humans can be really haughty sometimes.

If we killed people off that were sick or maimed or born with a defect there wouldn't be any people left at all. There is no such thing as "perfect genetics". Look at Stephen Hawking - he is severely physically handicapped, but his mind puts most of the rest of ours to shame with his capabilities. Should he be killed because he's in a wheelchair? Only if we are all fools.

Being a human being. To other human beings, at least. I don't imagine we are particularly valuable to the earth as a whole, apart from in a fertilizing capacity.

the answer to that question is; are you valuable? afterall, you are a human being and your answer is as good as anyone elses. For the rest of the question about a defective being, you have to be more specific on that

firstly, god decides who lives or dies, its just that some people are just bad and care less about life if it doesnt suit their own thinking, life is a lesson to us all, thank god we can see further with the heart than we can with the eye, what gives us value ?, the answer would be each other
