I am referring to breaking fellowship over a difference of opinion in a nonessential area. That is to be right in opinion but wrong in the Spirit. Where is the love for the brethren?

In that sense, yes, I believe you'd be right. Our church has a sister church like that. We have the exact same beliefs.But about 15 yrs ago the preacher decided all holidays were pagan. Therefore, we're not saved anymore.They can't fellowship w/ us anymore therefore.

Pride of opinion is the very definition of the word satanic in one sense, "the insistent self".

Pride is pride. Who are any of you to "know" you interpret it correctly? Everyone is either right or everyone is wrong.

Scripture says...iron will sharpen iron and sparks will fly.
So its is normal to have a different opinion.
But not to a level where you can not live in love..
Beside God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son...

An intellectual discussion is killed when ever a true discussion evolves. We should be true open to any intellectual challenging conversation. Not just what any one cares to belief.
