I was baptised in a Baptist Church at 7. I haven't been to a church in years. I might pass through to a church not of my denomination----Does it matter? What should I do? There are personal reasons in why I haven't returned to church regularly. What should I do to regulate my wellness with the Bible and God? What are some things I need to know? What part of the Bible do i read and learn (New or Old Testament)? I just need HELP!!!!! I want God to love me and I want to follow his WORD AND TEACHINGS!!! I believe in him UNCONDITIONALLY NO DOUBT!!!!

1) It does not matter as long as you go to a mainstream Bible believing Protestant church....no extremes.

2) You should go to church. We are not to forsake assembling.

3) The Bible does not give us an out for forsaking assembly and bearing with each other. Never forget that the nature of Christ dictates that He bear with us. To know Christ experientially means we assemble and put up with all the crap as long as God calls us to do so. In the absence of clear direction from God to forsake a specific assembly, I would suggest staying put. Maybe this wandering is leading you to a different denomination (?). God will not use guilt but encouragement to guide you. You are blessed.

4) Pray, fellowship, receive the spokem Word, read the written Word, and listen for that small still voice...it will always say "I love you."

5) Read the Gospel of John 50 times and ask a lot of questions...then do the same with Hebrews. Skip the "Roman Road" for now...Hebrews will explain the oneness of the Old and New covenants. Next read Galatians and James back to back over and over until they agree....then go to Phillipians for a gut check.

6) I am happy you desire God...I am happy you desire His Word...now let go of your will to believe and let Jesus reveal Himself to you....just ask this of God until He answers...Lord, is there a place for me in Your Kingdom.

Bless you

First, you may have been too young to really understand the true meaning of baptism. Second, if you go to other churches, I would think you are searching. You need to find a church that YOU feel comfortable in. One that uses the open Bible, during service , so you can follow along and see if you agree. I'm not sure if you possibly misspelled wellness (illness) or meant willingness (wanting to go) Either way you need to pray and tell satan to leave you alone. Sincerely ask God to give you the strength to go. If you force yourself and expect a blessing I really think you will get one if you go. Many times I felt so weak that I wanted to stay in bed, the times I forced myself to go ,it seems a word was given just for me. Something I really needed to hear. Of course, I'm sure many others felt the same BUT, it was what I needed that was important to me at the time. You'll meet people, make good friends, have a church to turn to, and have a Lord that loves YOU so much that He died for you so you wouldn't have to go to hell. WE'RE all sinners but the difference is some of us are saved by grace and God's mercy. Good luck and I pray God gives you your answer soon. Read the book of John over and overr if it doesn't get through the first time. PHIL.. Will renew your mind. Stick inNew Testament because the rest will confuse you until you are well grounded in the word. Stay away from REV. until you know the Bible better.

Read the Gospel of John in the new Testament and then just keep on reading. If its been that long since you really atttended church you need to read all of the new testament first and then start reading some of the old testament. Obviously you need to find a church and attend it regularly and you need to get involved where you can, each person has a gift and you need to find yours and start helping out. Also make sure you are Saved and Born Again, here is a sinners Prayer, if you truly believe in Jesus then all of this will make sense to you, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Hello
It makes my heart sing to see someone like you who loves the Lord our God.
Your already on the right path because you seek to know your Heavenly Father with all your heart.
Did you know that He already loves you unconditionally?
He does and upon being saved all your sins are forgiven and you are given the Holy Spirit to love you and guide you in the right direction.
You have already received a new heart and your eyes are open as you were given new life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As for church if you want to attend different churches until you find one you like that's perfectly OK but I would recommend the King James Version Bible because it hasn't been corrupted like some of the others that were published after it.
If you want you can buy the bible in DVD format from this website http://www.khouse.org the narrator will read it to you word for word the entire bible and it's really nice because you can listen as you read along with the narrator the entire bible in the order in which it was written.
In fact my husband and I order from that website all the time and instead of going to church we stay home and study scriptures with Chuck Missler the pastor of a church in Ohio who hosts that website.
We still go to church occasionally to socialize with our brothers and sisters in Christ but we learn a whole lot more from Chuck Missler.
If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me I'd be more than happy to help in any area that I can.

God bless you and may peace and joy be with you always!

Hello again!
