This guy i used to "date" when i was 14 (that's over 4 years ago) continues to call me and now, he's in prison and calls me at least 10x's a day. I called my phone company (at&t) and had them place a block on the line but his COLLECT calls override the block as well as Privacy Manager.
Even if I don't accept the charges he's still able to have it so my line rings in with the operator asking do i want to accept very early in the morning. How can I stop this?

Somewhere in the recording at the start of the collect call, there should be an option for blocking future calls.
If there is not, then contact the prison and request that your number be blocked at their end.

you have 2 choices change your number and keep it unlisted or the one i picked, i live in michigan but whatever state u live in you should be able to do this call the department of corrections and explain what is going on then have them put a block on your phone from their end thats what worked for me . the reason that the block on your phone company and privacy manager didnt work was cause this jerk is apparently able to get ahold of a real live operator and with that those 2 things dont work. if this dosent work then the only other option is to change your number and keep it unlisted.

Have your answering machine screen the calls, and turn the volume off on both your phone and on the machine. That way you won't have to hear it, and it'll just go to your machine. But it still seems to me that the phone company should be able to do SOMETHING to prevent even the collect calls from getting through.

The Key word is COLLECT CALLS you don't have to except those. Call the jail where he is and tell them to put a stop to it.

Change your phone number and make sure it's unlisted.
If it's a cell request a new number.
