Are there more white people living in Hawaii now?

All whites are still the largest group in Hawaii, but are not a majority (51%). It's generally around 35%, but has been increasing partly because more people are coming, and also because many non-white Hawaii residents are moving to the mainland because they can't afford to live here anymore. For instance, there are about 50,000 Hawaii expats living in Las Vegas (called the "ninth island" here in Hawaii).

Sure seems that way, especially if you go to Kona, on the Big Island. And for some strange reason, most of them seem to be realtors!!!
