It's a lot more complicated than that -- and scarier, in my opinion.
The "End Times" is when Jesus is supposed to come back to earth and carry away all the Good Christians to live with him in heaven. There are a great many predictions about it in the Bible, and many Christians are convinced that most of the "signs" have already come true, and therefore the time is near.
The problem is, many also think it is OK to try to fulfill the prophecies, because they are eager for the End Times. I'm not sure exactly what makes them so confident they will be Raptured (taken into heaven at once) instead of being left behind, but I am sure that if such a thing does take place (which I seriously doubt), an awful lot of people who assume they will be raptured will in fact be left behind.

Good question,could be?
So many have been wrapped up in the end of times every century for over an eon now!! It may never end until they finally have what they want, total destruction!!
I do not care if it says a thousands years of peace and such after the deaths of so many innocents people in such an act would be unforgiveable to me. I for one do not believe in any end of times.
The only end of times may be the end of the AMERICA as we know it as it slowly turns into a fascist state it once fought over 60 years ago to prevent!!! I pray more so that it does not happen than any end of times.

I'd like to know too?! My opinion is (playing along like the end times is real....ha, ha) that this is the ultimate ..."See!.. we were right, in your face non-believers..!" Some crap like that, or the fact that the ( faithful ) can't cope with THIS world and can't wait for their fantasy after-life!

The world is like a lit fuse of unknown length. It is attached to a bomb(figuratively speaking) that will destroy everyone unless JESUS comes back!

It's awful and illogical. It's not even clear who wrote revelations. Also if you believe the end is near you don't have to take responsibility for global warming.
