I apologize if I had offended anyone, but my personal observation has lead me to realize how corrupt western religions (namely Christianity) are. For instance, many important books have been removed from the Bible (such as the Book of Nicaea, which actually supports reincarnation, contrary to the current Heaven-Hell concept). There has been numerous scientific study by a man known as Dr. Ian Stevenson that presents a very strong case for reincarnation. But why was it removed from the Bible?
Anthropologists suggest that viewing homosexuality as a negative was actually added into the Bible by a King/Emperor of the Anglo-Saxon region. This ruler personally did not like being in such an environment. Homosexuality occurs in ALL species of animals, why should humans be the only exception?
And seriously, why is it so morally “corrupt” to avoid marriage? You can present the case of STDS, but in reality they have only been a recent disturbance. You don’t see any other species of animals marrying one another. And it would be egotistical of anyone to make the distinction that “humans are superior.”
Agree or disagree?

God = √-1, I can see your bias showing. If you had even read about Dr. Stevenson, you would have realized that he NEVER put any subjects under hypnosis. He himself was also questionable about the accuracy of hypnosis, so he went to countries were reincarnation was widely tolerated. These children freely spoke of their past lives, and in all cases, their past persona was verified as factual people.

All religions have been corrupted. Even Buddhism to a degree, though it seems to be from what I can see, the least messed up. You are right on some points, but your facts are a little wobbly. You've got the basic idea on most of it though.
However, there is one tiny thing about marriage, there are many animals, particularly birds that mate for life after a strenuous courtship, so it is not unheard of in the animal world. For all intents, they are married. Some birds will even die without their mates.
But in the end, does it matter? All religion is phooey anyway. Find your spiritual compass and you don't need anybody with rules and regulations to teach you what you should do or not do.

Disagree. While I will gladly flock to your banner that mainstream Christians have the propensity to be corrupt, it is, however, not the faith but the money swindler at the podium. As for your argument, its ultimately a non-argument. You are arguing your perspective based on Hereticial arguments which are wholely unfounded. The Book of Nicaea is actually not a proven religious text. Reason being is simple, if the texts contradict everything else the other texts uniformly support, than it is not of God and therefore doesn't belong. It is important to you and Dr. Stevenson merely because it substantiates your claim, not because it is biblical. If it were biblical, than we would see the concept in other areas too. As for the homosexuality issue, this is a repeated theme throughout the bible, which is substantiated by ancient scrolls and texts that are unaltered...so Dr. Stevenson is flat out wrong. More importantly, you are comparing humans to animals...a science based rationale, as science classified humans as animals, not God. So drawing a correlation between the animal kingdom and humans is fruitless and illegitimate. You consider them the same, the Bible does not. In fact, long before this classification, the Bible has Satan seeking to reduce humans to animals. So just because homosexuality, infantcide, murder, rape and theft occur in the animal kingdom, doesn't mean we need to abide by it to. As for the marriage issue, Paul said that if you are of a strong heart and will, and do not suffer from the temptations of the flesh, than it would be good for you not to be married. This was taken to the extreme by making chastity a religious requirement, but all the same, i think my point there is proven.

The Book of Nicaea you are referring to is what some liberal scholars have refered to as the Bible itself and there were actually some books added in much later and they were not relevant to the historical Gospels and books of the Bible and it's removal was part of the purging of error that had been added into the original Bible. Many of the translations have the luxury of thousands of copies of the earliest books of the Bible (Gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John and Acts of the Apostles.) to use as a verification of the intent of the original writers in their translations so the King James and many of the modern Bibles are absolutely reliable! The books that were in wide circulation and that were selected at the council of Nicea were selected on the fact that they were reliable and could be verified as being documents written by witnesses.
Homosexuality has been a sin and is still a sin in the books of the Old testament many of which can be seen at the Museum of the book in Israel and for example the one book of Isaiah dates from around 250 BC so. If you look at the examples of today the entire Aids epidemic was because of several homosexuals and their activities in the Los Angeles area and even without that according to studies on sexuality and life span the life expectancy is reduced by almost 20 years due to disease, drugs, violence and suicide.
Now there are many Churches that are corrupt and going in the wrong way but a group should not be compared by it's bad examples. If that was true then all atheists are like Stalin and Mao in their murderous rampages, all Korean's are like the student at Virginia Tech etc. etc. You cannot judge the Church by those failing to live by what Jesus taught. Look at organizations such as Compassion that helps thousands of kids or Mother Theresa's order helping the lepers etc. In general though I would say that the various groups such as Anglicans, Lutherans, Baptists are doing very well but some of the modern liberal churches have lost their way!

First, I disagree with your usage of the word 'corrupt'.
The NT books of the Bible were selected by the Church.
It was limited to books written by those who knew Jesus.
It took 1600 years to reach the final selection or canon.
Reincarnation was never part of Judaism or Christianity.
While homosexuality occurs in many stress situations,
homosexual activity has never been condoned by society.
Aversion to homosexual activity is older than Anglo-Saxon.
The Bible teaches that human beings are a superior creation.

Jasumi,
Those "Books" which were excluded were in some manner or another inconsistent with the Message of CHRIST and/or they were found to be totally wrong in their era-content. Homosexuality was NOT added by any emperor. It is found in the scriptures and those who claim otherwise are generally those who want to exclude them from the Bible because of their prefereneces. CHRIST will Judge according to the scriptures. Marriage was begun by our FATHER and is expected because HE said that is the way we are to live. The animals are not subject to them because they do not have souls as far as we know. I totally disagree with you thinking and I am sorry that I feel you are completly wrong at this point in your life. Have a great week.
Thanks,

I guess if you totally ignore Gods word, what you say might make sense. Actually Christian countries in the world are the most prosperous in the history of the world, Hmmm...why is that? The Christian nations who support Israel are also the most prosperous in the world, Hmmm..I wonder why?
Gods word tells us why and makes it a promise.
Very obvious to see who God is blessing. I hope you stop listening to humans and start listening to God.

Its seems that you like to ask questions that are some what "anti-religious". I am not a religious person and so i wouldn't feel passionate about defending the values & norms of any religion. But can i just ask why you are mostly negative about the values that you have mentioned in your question?
have you had experiences with christianity or sth?

A couple of things. I've never heard of the Book of Nicaea so I can't speak to that except to say that God is sovereign. If He can inspire human beings to write a book just like He wants it, He's sovereign enough to control which writings are picked to be included in that book. (And He's sovereign over the translation, too, if that's your next argument!).
In regard to homosexuality, what animals do shouldn't be our guide for morality. Some species of animals EAT THEIR OWN YOUNG. Should we be doing that? The animal world is brutal. Should that be our guide or something higher?
The main reason I answered this question though is that STDs have been around for a *long* time and they have plagued mankind for a long time. Many, many people died of syphillis, for example, before the advent of penicillin. Don't believe me? Well then, why have Merkins (pubic hair 'wigs') been around for like 400 years? They were used to cover up the evidence of syphillis. Sorry to be gross, but this clearly refutes that argument.

You forget to see how corrupt everyone is. I didn't know Christians considered it to be morally "corrupt" to avoid marriage. Animals do what animals do and unfortunately we are no different. Maybe you would want to be different from an animal? Why not give animals rights as well than. We should serve by no moral code. The guy who likes to rape children does so because he seems it to be fine. The guy kills the guy who raped his children because it seems to be fine. Then some guy from the dead guy's family kills the murderer because he seems for it to be fine.
Excuse my sarcasm. Socrates found out that morality cannot be relative.
