TATTOO - Adding to an existing tattoo?

Question

Hi people..

Ive got a skull on my right arm.. about 5 cms wide and about 9cms tall. About 11 yrs old / black / faded a bit now.

I want to add to it, Either tribal design around the outside or flames, vines, etc.. coming out of it. (around the tat)

MY QUESTION IS ...

1. Will it look that same as my original tat ? (give it a year or so) or will it look like an add-on?

2. And just for kicks (do you think I should do this?)

Hey, that's a great idea,,got mine done with some Malaysian tribal design at the back of my skull,

Check out the site below,,lots of great ideas & art pieces. Choose from this site & get the opinion from your tattoo artist, He should be able to do a sample trace to see if u like it.

U can give your old one a touchup so that it will "blend" in with the new artwork,,,your tattoo artist should be able to do that,,

Why not put Joel in between the front legs of the dragonfly, as if it was holding him? It could be a way to show that Ryan is protecting and looking out for his little brother?

i would skip the tribal, ugh. i would suggest having the original tattoo touched up when you have the new part added so it will look like the two go together.

I wouldn't of gotten a tattoo in the first place but any way. I wouldn't get it done because infections will get serious which can cause minor injuries or infections which can cause you to get gangrene etc. But you should decide the meaning of life to live or to be a wrinkled old lady in the fututre with a tatoo on you're arm which has wrinkles on it!

it will look good. i did this. get the original one updated also so it doesn't look funky and washed out anymore.
