Is it possible to convert a replica / inert grenade back to armed / working status again?

First off, that would put you down for a federal offense.

That being said, YES, you could convert an inerted grenade into an improvised grenade. But, you would have to have the proper fuze (like an M213) and explosive filler (like Comp B). Either way, it will never be considered new again.

Not if it was made inert correctly. That is the purpose of making it inert.

If it a replica and you tried to convert it to live, you would have a very unstable item nothing like the original. You would be taking your life into your own hands at that point.

witha primer and a timer and the charge yes you can do it but most replicas are real with the timers and the primers gone the explosive parts are all one peace it plugs right back in where they cut the bottom of the grenade so if you put it back together it would blow back out the bottom injuring the person throwing it unless you have a press to replace the active parts and remove them ...no you couldnt do it
