Well if he or she or whatever exists!!!!

Then you've got to assume they ( God ) is good and would be forgiving to anyone regardless whether they are non believers or not ,as being a Buddhist or atheist doesn't mean they are not good people.

You can be a peace loving kind, and wonderful human being without believing in religion as living within the above principles makes any life lived worthwhile :)

God will forgive anyone who is truly sorry for what they have done. It doesn't matter who they are: he is not the God of the Jews, or of the Christians, or of the Muslims; he is the God of the whole universe. Having said that, we need to prove our repentance by TURNING from our wrong thoughts, words and deeds. This is where faith helps; we know it will be worth the struggle in the end.
Peace

God ALWAYS FORGIVES every sin every done by man, no matter how bad, except for one sin. That is the sin of the blasphemy of the holy spirit.

However, in suggesting whether he forgives buddhists and atheists, I would say yes and no. Many times in the Bible it says that God has revealed himself to everyone, and that no one has an excuse for not knowing him. If anyone does not believe in him (buddhists/atheists, exe.) he will probably forgive them and WORK within their lives to try to change them. If they refuse to accept him and die refusing him, then I think he will not forgive them.

Remember, it is not up to humans to understand the exact nature of God. However, I do believe he gives everyone a chance to repent, and that is through his forgiveness.

"The Lord is slow in punishment and rich in unfailing love."

Best of luck!

God forgives when we submitt ourselves to His Will and seek repentance for our sinful ways. (Repentance is actually an ancient military term for 'about face', so when you repent you are actually doing a 180 from your old ways.) So a Buddhist or an Atheist would not ask for forgiveness, and thereby be forgiven, as that would entail them doing a 180 from their current beliefs and becoming a Christian.

It really depends on who you ask. But I see it from a different point of view.
Is a person who is born, raised and taught under a different religion, to be blamed for that? What I mean what if he/she doesn't know better or different. Is he/she sinning?
If the modern western hemisphere God is all forgiving, then Yes, he/she is to be forgiven
But if it's a more orthodox God. Then No, he/she is not.
Now ask this question, If God is all mighty, why does he/she permit people to be born under a different believe?

There is but one way to the Father and that is through the Son,
I wish I could in good conscience say I believe there was a way all these souls won't burn in Hell, but I can not. Without Christ there IS no salvation, there is no forgiveness; there is only eternal desolation, separation from God and Hell.

I lack belief in gods. What is there to forgive for holding a different philosophical view on the existence of the supernatural? It's not as if a god is providing evidence that it exists...just a lot of people claiming to speak for him/her/it.

Personal anecdotes and ancient prejudices do not count as evidence.

God "loves all of His children" and "forgives those who seek forgiveness". God shouldn't have a problem with any genuinely good person.

The creator treats all his creatures equally, just as a mother treats her children equally. Forgiveness cannot be reserved for certain people or groups as that would defeat its purpose, which is to enter heaven sinless...thus forgiveness is required.

Forgiveness requires one to confess and sincerely repent of their sins to God, emphasis on "to God".

Without recognizing your sins as opposition to God, they will not be forgiven.
