I also recommend the 4-D roadtrip book. If you are looking for a book about the manic-depressive syndrome itself, I recommend Dr Whybrow's book, A Mood Apart. It is well-written, interesting and informative, as well as poetic.

Of course, many authors suffered moodiness as well, including but not limited to Sylvia Plath, Herman Hesse, Virginia Woolf, Oscar Wilde, etc.
Kurt Cobain, Van Gogh, Georgia O'Keefe, the list goes on and on.

My daughter reccomends the book "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. It is about a teen who struggles with non-acceptance and depression and overcomes it.

The only thing I know is a site for the medicine Seroquel. It has alot of information on it . I signed up for weekly newsletters, and it has places for support groups.

My oldest son has Bipolar, he's 21. It's a real rough thing. Please find out all you can, and if they put you on med's, please stay on them. It's a rough ride through life, and for the ones that love you.
