I was recently at a night club and mildly intoxicated. I was introduced to the owner of the club that night and made a fool of myself. How can I recover from this? Normally I'd buy a drink next itme I saw the person, but with a club owner, this seems null. I want to approach this with perfect etiquette.

I was at the bar with a new friend who was buying me a drink, and the owner bought the two of us, and his two groupies a shot as well. while cheering them all, the wet shot glass slipped, and i broke it on the bar... covering the owner and his friends in expensive alcohol. I appologized profusely, thanked him for the replacement shot, and then proceeded to tell him how fine his establishment was, and compair it to a better night spot where i'm origionally from. oops.

Offer to buy coffee, during the day; talk to the owner off the club site and show that you are a decent person overall. I'm sure the owner has interacted with lots of intoxicated people; be the classy one that follows through afterwards.

Start by realizing you should not get intoxicated in public if you don't want to make a fool of yourself. You only do drunk what you don't have the nerve to do sober. Good luck trying to fix it, the club owner meets people like you all the time.

Wow .. that stings !

I doubt that you made as big a fool of yourself as you think you did. Sometimes we are own worst critic...

You were at a this owners club and having a good time .... I am sure that this owner is not placing too much emphasize on your behavior.Though we can never really be sure how our behavior is perceived. On your next meeting just act friendly and natural.Do not apologize for your previous behavior. He/she may not have noticed your previous flub...Why remind them.

I would laugh along with him at how I acted. What you just said is a perfect opener, though..."I'd like to buy you a drink, but you own the place!"

I dont beleive in first impressions...for one how can you tell who someone is by first meeting them. You cant judge someone by first impression....some people just have off days and you may meet then at that time. You cant judge a book by its cover, right.....so how can you judge a person by first encounters.

Try your best not to be drunk the next time you meet him and buy him a drink to apologize.
