how long should I wait after workout to eat something? What should I eat? I exercise very intensively ,at least 30 minutes of running...Thanks...I want to loose wait not gain

the thing is that I never eat earlier than at least an hour after training, so I guess now this is right
I eat only healthy things so is not the case that I will eat something unhealthy I just want to know what exactly should I eat, I heard that I should not eat fruits or vegetables while you are saying that I actually should so I am a bit confused now

you always want to eat right after exercising as it helps to reduce the catabolic effects of exercise and speed recovery.

after exercise the body needs quality proteins and carbohydrates. post exercise carbohydrate consumption will never lead to increased fat storage. the muscles are primed for nutrient uptake after exercise so the glucose from any consumed carbohydrates will be transported into skeletal muscle as designed.

post workout should be something simple like a scoop of soy protein (for women) and an orange. then eat a regular meal about 1-1.5 hours after that.

If you are running instensely for 30 minutes you wont be ready to eat after you are done. If you are trying to lose weight, honestly, the best thing is to drink a lot after your excersize (water obviously) and eat about an hour to an hour and a half after your excersize. This will allow your body to continue burning fat while you rest (body builders who want to GAIN weight consume shakes immediately after workouts and eat a meal not too long after that**). Also, eat some protein and vegetables after you run. Continue eating healthy all day and if you really do run intensely for 30 minutes you will lose fat.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Well, you see, you can eat something right after you exercise, just as long as it's not anything like candy, chips, pop, etc. Just make sure to eat food in moderation, and, it's always good to have one junk day. :)
