We got this today at Good Will for an art project and have no idea from where this thing is from or what its name is. The only tag left on it says it's Disney and Henson.

Thank you!

It's Treelo fom Playhouse Disney's former series "Bear in the Big Blue House".

After Jim Henson's death, the Muppets were sold to a German media company. When that company went bankrupt, the rights to the Sesame Street-related Muppets (Big Bird,Snuffy and the dreaded Elmo among others) were bought up by Sesame Workshop while all the others were bought by Disney.

In spite of Disney's ownership,The Jim Henson Company still exists (the show I referenced was a Disney/Henson co-production) and Jim Henson's son Brian has the last word on all Muppet-related projects.

Does not look like any Muppet Character that I am familiar with.
Does it also say "made in China"?
They like to play it fast and loose with brand names.
I was not even aware the Muppets were associated with Disney.
I thought they were Childrens Television Workshop.
Anyway...when Jim Henson died...So did the Muppets.

The Muppets used to be very entertaining.
Now....
when I cruise by Sesame Street all I see is a SCREECHING BABY ELMO

That's "Stoney," the muppet who likes to do psychedelic drugs. Look at the expression on his face!

Stoney didn't last too long though. The folks at Disney didn't think it was right for a muppet to advocate eating magic mushrooms or smoking pot.

So hold on to him! That muppet is worth a lot of money.
