No she is being sensitive is all. teenage girls tend to do this, if memory serves me correctly.

BTW...as a mother of a child with autism, I am offended that you use the phrase "retarded" to describe this situation.....especially since YOU didn't spell it right, but my son most likely could.

No, it's not your fault. Your BFF must not consider you her BFF if she is mad at you over such a silly thing. It's really strange, but when a guy enters the picture, it can really test a friendship. The person I thought was my best friend in high school treated me very poorly when I gave her PROOF that her bf was cheating on her. I didn't even tell her until I had proof. She chose to believe him. They broke up after high school. Our friendship never recovered though there were a few attempts during the last part of our senior year and the first couple of years of college. It just was never the same. Plus you guys have the stress of your friendship since you no longer go to the same school. Turns out, my BFF was someone I met after I graduated from college. She's the best friend I ever had. If your friendship cannot recover, just know that your true friends will be revealed over time.

You may not have intended it the way it turned out, but you were gossiping about your friend and that's generally a bad idea. She's entitled to like whomever makes her happy without interference from friends. Real friends would be happy for her that she found someone to connect with...and "retarded" is spelled this way.

wether you thought he was emo or not you really should have kept your mouth shut, because who cares who she choses to take to homecoming?!
what buisness is it of yours to tell other people, its called gossiping dear,
I suggest you appologise to your friend big time.
and that you got caught up in gossip world and have now come back,
ever heard of chinese whispers? what you say to one person is always something different to what they wil hear.
If your not saying something positive about her or who shes taking then it aint good
