Its what people say and is often proven that if you set to harm someone by what you may perceive as just playing fair climbing the ladder or whatever scenerio in life, that when something bad happens to you this is what people say, another one is you dish it out you have to be able to take it too, meaning if you tease you open yourself up to being teased and so on.

Your phrase is used a lot when couples break up and the one that wanted to break up or chose another for over their spouse and that relationship fails also only they are the ones being left now, so the phrase is appropriate don't you think.

It means life has a way of treating you like a leaf in the wind, as time goes by like sand through the hourglass of perpetual motion in the ocean. BALEEV dat

It means that if you do good things, good things will come back to you. Or if you do bad things, bad things will come back to you. It's a long phrase for Karma.

It means you get what you give. If you treat others decently you will be treated decently. If, on the other hand, you are nasty to others, other people will be nasty to you.
