Which city is a better place to live?

I'm going to go with Ottawa. Lots of things to see and do there as the Nations Capital that no other city in Canada has. Then, more near by to visit when you get tired there. Starting right in Greater Ottawa outskirts, when you cross the river into Quebec. It doubles your options.
I live in BC and have visited both. But although I would go back to Winnipeg, I HAVE been back several times to Ottawa.

That depends on what you like to do. And what your budget is. Ottawa is an interesting place - but it's expensive. Winnipeg has a more rural or 'small town' feel to it - and costs a lot less.

Definitely Ottawa. Winnipeg is a hole.
