Of course God loves me.. but to think or believe there is no hell you can risk yourself going there and there is no stopping- there's no end to it..there will be no way out.. It will be too late. I guarantee that. I know there is hell..I am afraid of it- so should everyone!

Based on what I have read in several parts of the Bible, people who are lost( unsaved, rejected Jesus Christ will be burned up, not tortured for all eternity. If Christ paid for all our sins by being beaten and nailed to a cross and speared in the side, how is it that the punishment for people who reject Him be burned alive forever and ever? I think there has been a misunderstanding. I do not want to be "the devil's advocate but, Christ would have to be burning in hell forever if that is the price for sin. The price He paid was a real death, a painful death, NOT eternal, never ending torture in fire. I am not a Seventh Day Adventist but they started showing me in MY Bible some things about this and I continued searching on my own. I do believe in hell, it is mentioned in the book of Revelations and in some Gospels but as a child I was told something about it that just contradicts what I read in the Bible. The Bible speaks of "perishing" and "destruction."
How do people get eternal torture out of that?

I hope you understand this question is quite out of line. There are a lot of people in hell who believe in hell. It is just they think that they are above God's mercy and grace.

However, I agree with you. God loves us. And since He needs us for nothing, He will let us to go to hell if we don't choose heaven. Free will.

If you can't prove there is one, what makes you think it's there, any more than you would think pigs will fly tomorrow? There's no evidence of either.

Of course, if/when I see it, then I'll believe (but will it really be any different than L.A. or Detroit?). But no God I would respect would put me in Hell for living a good life, but being skeptical of the whole heaven/hell thing. After all, he allegedly have me my brain and ability to be skeptical, think logically, and apply reason not faith, right?

Why would I go to Hel? Well..possibly. I will probably die of old age. But I'm thinking the gods and I can come to some sort of an agreement on that. But I will live on through my children. THAT is eternal life my friend. It's what you leave HERE for the next generation that carries to you to eternity.

I guess that explains why my sister was born deformed and why we where both born to parents that abused and neglected us and let not forget dad who showed us his love by crawling into our beds at nigh? maybe its because Jesus loved me?and I was special?
I grew up having to have sex with my drunk father in order to protect my retarded deformed sister. Do you think Jesus will forgive me because I was raped and I had to slob the knob? I guess that makes me like Jesus I so loved the world that I gave my only begotten, fresh young as so that others would not suffer.See you in heaven?
yea I so glad that I'm a Christian!

What a ridiculous question. If there was a hell, well, then one would have to believe in it if one was there. But it is a non-sequitor. But there is no such place. Nor is there a heaven. Because there is no god.THERE IS NO GOD. If you are intelligent and brave enough, please read the book "god is Not GREAT" , by Christopher Hitchens. Hitchens is a famous author of many books, and is well respected in intellectual circles.

i cant find any mention of a tortured afterlife in the bible. are you sure about this hell thing? or was that something they came up with later? I thought God was love. he would punish someone for not worshipping him? that is weird and egomaniacal... not very loving.either way... can you direct me to this in the bible?

Tell me, do I have to believe in hell to have faith in God? That doesn't make much sense. I can follow God all I want, do everything I'm supposed to do, and just because I don't believe in hell, I will go there?

I don't think that makes much sense, since I would be following God and doing his will WITHOUT FEAR of punishment!
