Any job can be a volunteer job in a hospital -- it depends on the type of hospital. In hospitals in the developing world, for instance, some of the doctors are volunteers. If the hospital is a non-profit, charitable hospital, there are going to probably be more volunteer positions than at other types of hospitals. Many hospitals have auxillaries or volunteer organizations, and it's through these you volunteer. Some hosptials have nonprofit organizations with which they are affiliated, and volunteering is done through them. Call the hospital and ask for the number of the volunteer manager, if any, and call that person. It is his or her job to talk to you about what kinds of volunteering opportunities they have, and which might be appropriate for you, based on your skills, interest and availability.
