If you have a proper license you can carry the weapon in your glove box. It must be unloaded though and the ammunition must be in another place, like the console or trunk, unless you are a licensed security, government agent, or police operative. If you keep your registration in your glove box and a gun is there too, you would be wise to tell the officer that you have a gun in the glove box before you open it and follow his instructions. If you just reach and open it and he sees the weapon, he might shoot you. He's wrong, but you are dead. Bad scene for you.

See the link...the focus is carry/conceal in school zones, but I think it covers your question. Be aware that in some states, if stopped, you must tell the officer that you have a weapon.

well lets just put it this way, you have to have a packin permit to even have it in your vehicle, then by law you have to have the gun laying where it can be seen in plain view, like in the seat or someplace like that, if its in the glove box or under the seat or somewhere its not in plain site then its considered carrying a concealed deadly weapon and that is illegal

Only legal if you have a license to carry a concealed weapon. (since it's readily within reach it's the same as if you're carrying it on your person).
You don't have to volunteer it, but if for some reason he's going to search your car you better tell him before he does.

No it is not that is considered concealed. It is against the law if you don't have a permit.
