DEATH. Civilisation has got rid of polytheism through science. People need to explain things somehow, they just can't say I don't know yet. The only GOD left is the death god. What happens to you when you die. People just can't believe that this is it. They need to believe that we are special. Humanity as a whole is just naive, like children.

Here is the answer your looking for - Remember when you were young and your parents told you about Santa and the Easter Bunny? You believed them completely. Then through time people told you they weren't real. Well, most people aren't told the GOD thing isn't real until late in adolescence but by then the ideology is embedded in your psyche. This is also why they start so young with indoctrination (baptism).

What political party does your baby subcribe? Republican or Democrat? The answer is you don't know. Interesting how parents know what religon their child is, isn't it?

Those who say religion has nothing to do with politics do not know what religion is.

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

Us believers don't have to prove anything to anyone. I can't prove that you exist even though your words are on the screen. Are you still confused?

It is actually a reasoning process where one thing leads to another. You start out with something you know and very basic that you know is true. Hence, I am ABSOLUTLEY certain that I exist. I can only be reasonably certain that you or anything else (including my body) exists. You take it from there. You do NOT start out with God exists. That comes later in the process.

People need something to peas their fear of the unknown, so God was created so they could pray and blame him for the things they do not understand, so the less they understand the more they exaggerate what they see hear and read, we truly do live in a religiously insane world today.

Good question, hard facts in some cases are hard to find, other times harder to avoid. Pros and Cons can be confusing....I've found it's harder to believe there is no God, than to believe there is. But believing there is a God and Believing in God are deeper topics for thought, and differ greatly

its a sense. its unexplainable.its like asking someone to prove they are sad.or angry. its lik e proving what we are thinking.untill you have felt it, you cannot know. i am filled with love of god. i do not need proof, some may say im ignorant and i know im the only 8th grader who thinks like this, but i belive that those who look for proof are clossing themselves. they will be sorry when they have lived their lives and they look back and find it ...empty. no offense to atheists. dont worry im not a crazy go to hell religous person.

That's like asking a person why do you believe there is air....
or that there will all be air to breathe. Just in case you say I can prove there is air because I am alive.
We believe there is God....because I am alive...
Got it? Not understanding why it matters to you why people believe in things they may not be able prove, what do you believe in?

Why do people close themselves off to all possibility, that there is anything more than they can understand. It's a big complex Universe and they say " nope, I don't know about it..it isn't there" Agnostics are actually the most logical..they say they don't know ..

Like, it is called FAITH! They have the faith that even if they can't prove it you will soon believe it too, or that they don't care if you don't believe it because in their eyes it is the truth!
