I don't think you are Wrong at all. If she is making this dessert for herself and others to enjoy then she should not lick her fingers and then touch the dessert. But...if I was the making it for just myself, I might do that, and if the crumble is going to get baked in the oven after being touched then any germs will be killed.
PS It is spelled WRONG, not rong

maybe as she was only just 13, you could have come to her, and told her of your phobia, instead of putting it all over the net. I thought you were close friends, and considering you share most other things, and it was only us there, I don't see the problem. Ok, I agree it is not the best thing to do, but your not complete strangers, and she has no diseases. You still ate the crumble though, so your principles on germs are not that high, are they? Rats are vermin, do you wash your hands every time you pick it up? that is before you go and touch anything else? I must say I am a wee bit disappointed in you C, you've known us for years, she was cooking for fun, and I as her sister know my mum only just started to let her do that. It is a shame your principles are not as high when it comes to best friends and the rules surrounding boys !
P.S. you have shared my drinks and food many times and never said anything about having phobias about germs!

It is unhygenic to serve food that is prepared with unwashed hands. It's that simple. Any restaurant with chef licking his fingers would be shut down the second an inspector walked in the kitchen and saw the chef licking his fingers and sticking them back in the food.
Tell your friend it's not good health practice to do this. If she/he has a cold, the whole family or group could get sick too.

Oh oh I wouldn't like to eat it either..actually I am just like you and it is a good thing u know........why? because we dont know what other people's sicknesses are, and most of viruses are from the mouth, and from the fingers bacteria...so you don't even know if she washed her hands or not.............ohh, that is yuckie! if you can, anyway tell her but in a nice way and indirect and be kind with your words ok?good luck!

That is nasty. I would let her eat the apple crumble all by herself.

I wouldn't be eating anything that she baked, lol.
Yeah, if a person is cooking for another, they shouldn't be licking fingers or utensils.

Well, technically, any germs would be burned off in the oven, but I agree, that's still pretty disgusting.
