I don't believe in any of the portrayals of God due to lack of evidence and logic. I agree though there are God concepts that are more palatable and some are more believable than others. The NT concepts are to me more loving and positive than the OT ones. This always made me wonder what happened to OT God and made it seem even more likely that religion was a man created evolving concept. I don't hate God as I don't believe any God actually exists and you can't really hate something you don't believe. I do kind of hate some God concepts though and like others more. Still don't embrace any as literally true.

It's not a matter of hating God. It's a matter of not believing that he exists. Do you hate Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy? You can't hate something that you believe is real, only the persons who insist on telling you that they are. A kinder, gentler God really doesn't lend much credibility if you do not believe in even the the basic concept of God. The only thing that an atheist can hate are the outrageous claims for the existence of a God that is simply too absurd to be real by people who cannot comprehend why he doesn't believe.

The only Christians I hate are the ones that are:
By day - hypocritical bible-thumpers that condemn gayness.
By night - cybersex with any willing impressionable young boy.
Believing in something made up by bored men isn't something I see myself doing. Also, I'm not very fond of totalitarianism. Think about it: your "god" dictates everything you think and do. You are to stay a virgin till you get married, keep your hair short if you are male (which in another passage says to wear your hair long.), women are less than men, you are to believe in God or else you will go to hell.
It doesn't matter whether your god is a sadistic ***** or a sack of shiny happy people. I still won't believe in him. Besides, if there were a god, I would rather go to hell and serve Satan than serve a fascist god. At least Satan doesn't judge you.

It's not a PR problem. You are laboring under the delision that atheists are motivated by anger. Instead, most atheists are motivated by logic. They don't have an opinion about "God" either way. Even if he were really, really nice, God doesn't make sense. God doesn't make the sun rise, inertia does. God doesn't heal the sick and injured, antibodies, lymph nodes, white blood cells and T-cells do. And God doesn't end wars, peace treaties do. God is an unnecessary explanation for things that would happen anyway.

I am past my 85 birthday; it appears to me to day; The religious just love to fight; Since the 1300s Catholic/protestant holy war in Ireland, has, without break, persisted. Belief isn't, and never has been knowledge, humans had better awaken; all belief has ever done, is divide the peoples of the world! Looking at to day; I am watching The Horror of True Belief;
In the holyland today; bombs blowing bodies, every way!
Jews and Muslims they do fight; each claiming their belief, is right!
And the Christians in there too; wagging their tongue in the witches brew!
Tis a truth none may deny; belief is a killer, my o! my!
That's my reason; for not liking: Christians, Muslims, Jews. as a group; individually I have met, and liked many. The Judaic religions; and their squabbling between themselves; have created total chaos, with their civilization of planet earth.
I realy hope the slaughter going on over there; Is a signe of the promised end times.
According to the kjv; The creator has no use, for the carnal whom Divide, especially his world.
MATTHEW 12:25. Every Kingdom divided against itself is bought to desolation; Every city or house divided against itself, shall not stand
I CORINTHIANS 3:3. For ye are yet carnal: For where as there is among you envying, and strife, and division, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

You don't even know what an Atheist is. If you did, you wouldn't be asking this question.
The term "Atheist" means "Without theism", that is, "Without belief in a god." That means ANY god, goddess, or higher being of any sort. That's a typical Christian outlook, though, being voluntarily ignorant that other deities exist besides your own, and that Atheism is specifically about the Christian god.

Don't believe in your god or anyones else's, therefore we can hardly have any feelings towards any of them can we?
I do not believe that any Greek gods exist, I therefore neither hate nor love them. They are imaginary, the stuff of myths and legends. The stories about them are mildly entertaining that is all.
I don't know how much simpler I can explain this apparently very advanced concept to you.

As an Agnostic/Atheist, I like good Christians. And good Christians have no business threatening me with eternal suffering in Hell (I 'm talking about all the pain humanity has collectively endured, concentrated into my body for all eternity).
That's a sick concept. If there is a God, he's not going to be a ******** Nazi, and that's exactly what that eternal damnation crap is.

why don't you get it ... atheist don't beleive in god because there is not proof... and we can see that christians have not offered proof... we can see you slander our truth althout we offer proof of it.... and inch by inch as truth is exposed more will see the lie of god.... The celebration of a murder is what you proclaim as your salvation... but christians were known to celebrate several of these murders along the way to their seeking and gaining power.... they murderer people by slander... they called them heretics... they called them witches... although they did not practice evil deeds... they also murdered scientist because they were proving their god a liar.... so while chistians wander the earth crying persecution they forget their ancestors deeds tell the real tale and truth of christianity... and the only reason he is a would be savior because of death is because he died before being able to expose the church... it is a tale, an omen of the true spirit behind christianity... and as truth surfaces more and more... We will all see that the only true evil of the earth is catholic and christian.. through and through...

I am not an atheist but have known a few. It's not just God. It's the matter that they can't and wont accept anyone else as being a higher power than themselves. It's all about them being numero uno.
