Those kind of people should have the harshest of punishments. Childhood experience determines a persons sense of morality, their drive, emotional and physical health, and happiness; to impede a child's potential of succeeding in life or at least chance for happiness is the most evil thing someone can do.

I think that most people who severely abuse children are mentally ill. They should be kept isolated from society and receive treatment but I do not think they should be allowed contact with their children (or any other children for that matter) ever again.

If a grown child choses to maintain contact with an abusive parent and continues to accept the abuse, that is their choice as an adult.

Unfotunately, child abuse tends to be a cycle and children who were abused often grow up to be abusers. It would be nice if we had some sort of system to monitor abuse victims into adulthood and ensure they receive pschological counselling and parenting classes to help break the cycle.

The penalty is they reap what they sew and whatever else is up to God and his choosing. He alone is wise and he is Judge he said "Vengeance is mine I will repay"

As for your other questions no the child should not associate with them if they are being abused as a grown up and should tell them why.

and yes the person should have remorse but sometimes they are unconvictable for whatever reason. It's spiritual. They were probably abused and have unforgiveness about it and bitterness anger and rage, satan empowers all that and continues the cycle of abuse down to the next generation and the next until someone gets saved and gets help from JESUS or........they take valium or prozac or something.
I personally prefer Jesus and his power over the latter.

Imagine the shame and embarrassment a parent must feel to know they forced their own child to turn from them.

Abusing another human being is unforgivable, let alone a child. My experience is most parents know what they've done, and are ashamed and remorseful over it, but find some method of coping that doesn't include apologizing (usually drugs/alcohol.)

It is bad not to allow certain religions to use protection. I have always thought this was wrong having a baby every year, and not having enough money to keep them.
Some poor family's have 12 children, this is just not right to bring a baby into this world, a baby that is not wanted. I say that Catholics should change this stupid way of thinking, and all children that are born will be wanted, and I am a Catholic. So shout at me
I don't care, I have seen children that have a life of hell, because they have been forced
on parents who don't want them.

Abuse is a very serious offense but the police have to observe certain citizen rights:
1st offense: Visit by policeman with written warning.
2nd: again ticketing by police with monetary fine, informing perpetrators that neighbors and teachers are requested to stay alert to further indications.
3nd : Same plus jail time
4th: Force parents to relinquish children to foster care, with future review.
Such behavior by a parent suggests instability of mind, alcoholism, or other. My four steps recognize parental rights (if their abuse is not close to being life-threatening.) A single (Individual) judge should follow each case.

Parents who sexually abuse their children should be put to death as should all pedophiles. These perverts always reoffend and we need a one strike and you are out law that either puts them in prison for life without parole or executes them. This is totally in line with Christian principals. Perverts can be forgiven and washed by the blood of Jesus , but still should have to suffer the penalty or the consequences of their sin. How many innocent children have been molested because we refuse to execute God's judgement on these perverts? How many more will be molested because liberal judges let these perverts go free over and over again?

I think it is UNFORTUNATE that ANY person in the world can have a child... because there are a LOT of UNFIT parents in this world. Child abusers should be shot and killed....

But unfortunately, our legal system prefers to waste millions and millions of dollars each year on these LOSER parents who hurt their innocent and defenseless children... : (

It makes me so SICK to think about all of the children being abused at this very SECOND... that NO ONE knows about...

I am not sure if these people are capable of feeling remorse.... Because if they are capable of hurting a child --- their minds are obviously too sick and twisted to feel remorse..

Abusers should have there children taken away permanently and then spend some time in jail.
Children should not associate with the abuser unless they truly repent.

many times children, will always love their parents, even if they have been abused, children are often taken away for a short time, then returned to the abusive parents. the system fails. to protect these poor children.
