Sometimes they make me shrug my shoulders (like last night) but today they're just making me feel like I've been elctricuted for half a second. What is this from and does it mean something serious?

Well I stopped Lexapro a week ago, but I was only on it for nine days.

You wouldn't happen to be on any antidepressants, would you? I know effexor in particular can cause this if you miss a dose or if you are trying to come off it.

If not, it sounds like some kind of nerve pain. Perhaps you have a pinched nerve in your spine. That could cause those symptoms.

I had the shocks from Paxil. I'd be going along feeling fine when ZAP! I'd feel what FELT like an electrial shock on my arm or wherever and it would jerk. Totally irritating.

I'm on Lexapro now and even when a pharmacy med mixed up happened and I was unknowingly cold turkey off of Lexapro I didn't get and ZAPs.

Everybody responds to meds differently though.

You may have a pinched nerve in your back or neck or maybe your electrolyte balance is off. Whatever the case, you should tell a doctor of medicine about this.
