Remember, as long as you feel you need saving, the religious control mechanisms are functioning perfectly. Just keep obeying you sheep.

Baaaaa!!!

Interesting thought -- you're pointing to salvation as a specific experience, comparing before and after, as if it all turned on a point in your life that you "owned." Father K turns it on baptism, an act which did the saving. This got refuted by making baptism a symbol of the decision, putting the emphasis back on the latter.

And I'll throw a wrench in the works with predestination and God choosing who, when, and how a person will be saved. The whole salvation experience belongs to God, not you. You feel like a different person? Well, glory to you. But if God changed your heart, glory to God.

It wasn't a physical feeling for me. It was more that my mind just started to work different. Bad things I couldn't stay away from just suddenly seemed so trivial. I felt like my life had been wasted up to that point, that I was just waking up to a new inner reality, a new person happening in my head, a person who was actually happy to turn from sin and recognize the authority of God and the love of Jesus. It's hard to explain. I think of it as resurrection.

Yes - but I had that experience about two years after I was saved. The experience where everything looked different and I felt different. It is wonderful. Enjoy it!!!

Yes, and when you have doubts always remember that experience. Learn to call upon the filling of the Holy Spirit and you will feel it regularly. Not that kooky faith healing, roll in the aisle junk but the real indwelling.

For me it was a much slower process. I can't pinpoint the exact moment I was saved but I did become a completely different person.

It can be it but doesn't have to be . . . everyone's heart emotes differently. That fact you feel different is valid because "you are a new creature in Christ". 2 Corithians 5:17

God Bless
