When it first starts growing it looks like a thick grass. After it gets taller and is closer to being ready for harvest, it is a stalk, though much thinner than corn stalks. All that is kept of the plant is the head, which holds the grain.

No. Grinding up a seed and cooking it fantastically plenty destroys the opportunity of it ever sprouting. Now, in case you obtain sparkling entire wheat that became in simple terms dried (no longer cooked in any way), you could nicely be waiting to sprout it.

Wheat is an annual grass, and we eat the seeds of that grass. The flour we make bread with is the ground up seeds of a kind of grass that we call wheat.
