About 23%, give or take a couple percentage points.

They come hard after the single people who have no dependents.

Around $92 a month for social security and medicare, and around another $76 for federal income tax. You don't say where you live - there will probably be state income tax also, and maybe local.

It also depends on what state you are in. CA has state tax. AZ does not. But if you are single and claim no dependents, it'll be a big chunk. And you have FICA deductions, which is Social Security. If you are in an area that needs a union you will hve to pay union dues also.
