The numinous? I feel a great deal of wonder and awe but to pretend that amounts to believing in an actual 'being' who is responsible for it - I just don't buy that. The universe runs on physical laws. If all god was gonna do was set them up (that probably didnt need to be done anyway, there are far more sensible explanations) he might as well not bother to exist at all - oh wait...

YHWH; Jehovah; Creator; the Almighty; Father
Concerning "Abba"- it's not a name but another title. It's the Aramaic word for “father”.
"The word ’ab·ba’′ in Aramaic corresponds to the emphatic or definite form of ’av, literally meaning “the father,” or “O Father.” It was the intimate name used by children for their fathers and combines some of the intimacy of the English word “papa” while retaining the dignity of the word “father,” being both informal and yet respectful. It was, therefore, an endearing form of address rather than a title and was among the first words a child learned to speak."

Sagan's term for this was 'numinous'. no doubt it's been used by others though. I seem to recall christopher hitchens using it. Perhaps that's not what you're thinking of though. I think the word refers to the nature of an experience, rather than a thing in itself.

Which god do you mean???? there are so many and all have names. For example take Odin. He is known as Allfather, ancient sacrifice, High one, Just as High, though these are more in the way of kennings which describe some of his attributes. Other names he is sometimes known by are Woden and Wotan. And this is just one of the Gods.. it would take a very long time to give all the names which humans have called all the Gods they have worshipped

The first Name used for God in scripture is Elohim. In form, the word is a masculine plural of a word that looks feminine in the singular (Eloha). The same word (or, according to Maimonides, a homonym of it) is used to refer to princes, judges, other gods, and other powerful beings. This Name is used in scripture when emphasizing God's might, His creative power, and his attributes of justice and rulership. Variations on this name include El, Eloha, Elohai (my God) and Elohaynu (our God).
