Acne mask: Mix 5 or 6 aspirin with enough water to form a paste. Add a few drops of honey and apply to your face. Wait 10 minutes, and then wash it off.

Apply a mixture or tumeric and water to your face overnight. This will help control the oil, and also remove any pimples.

I also have oily skin. The best thing that I use is milk of magnesia. Ha, believe it or not. I wash my face with ivory soap, then i apply the milk of magnesia lightly with a cotton ball Don't put to much. I let it dry. it will look like a white mask. Finally, I use clinique moisturizer and rub it in to get rid of the white mask. Make sure to rub it in and check in the mirror after 5 min to make sure there aren't any white flakes. I got this out of allure magazine about 5 years ago. My face isn't oily all day. I wouldn't apply it in the winter because the season is dry.
Also look at the website i posted, it does warn not to use milk of magnesia if your face isn't oily.

100% essential bergamot oil is so fantastic for pimples and complexion. Add 2 drops to one hand, run your other hand under the tap, and then rub both hands together (mixing the oil drops with the water on your other hand) and then rub over your face, but avoiding your eyes. If you get a really big zit, apply some of the oil undiluted and it goes to like half the size by the following day.

Also, maybe look at your diet... if there's a lot of oil going into your body, it's more likely for it come out in your face.

Add enough luke warm water (drop by drop) to a packet of dry active yeast to make a paste. apply to face and let dry then genltly wash off with warm water. The activated yeast feeds on the oils in your skin and even gets down in your poors.

Also - Mary Kay sells a product called a mattifier - works pretty well for my nose.

Just use a natural soap without petro-chemicals to wash your face.

Follow with a wipe of witch hazel.

Don't over-dry your skin or you will over-stimulate your sebaceous glands which will increase oil on your face.

if you want to know some of the risks of petro-chemicals such as benzoyl peroxide (proven to promote skin cancer), phthalates ('fragrance' and plastic emolients for lotions and creams), triclosan (anti-bacterial that increases MRSA resistance) and such, click my picture...

NOTE: As an aromotherapist for 15 years, don't use straight bergamot on your skin. It increases photosensitivity. In other words, it increases your risk of sunburn and is way too harsh for most skin types. Go for a little lavender, which is calming to sebaceous glands AND anti-bacterial. Just mix two drops in a teaspoon of liquid vegetable oil and use sparingly (just a dab'll do your whole face). After 10 minutes, blot the excess oil with a clean cotton cloth.

Try using some facial cleansers. Or just go outside lots in the winter. Your skin will dry up tons.

not sure what you consider "home remedy"...i recommend dermalogica's line - you can find face wash and lotion for oily skin.

no matter what you use to wash your face, be careful to not over-wash your face as that will lead to over-production of your natural oil.
