Gout is a form of arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid in the body. I have never heard of any link between gout and chicken pox which is a virus. I may be wrong, but never heard of any link.

No, Gout is often referred to as "The rich mans disease" because it is caused by the build up of uric acid crystals, This is enhanced by the consumption of large amounts of red meat. Henry the 4th suffered from gout, as did most of the rich and powerful because they could afford the red meat, but the peasants could not. Chicken pox has no relation to Gout. However Chicken pox does relate to outbreaks of "shingles" later on in life.
