Interesting question, because both Jr and Kyle are good car control drivers who can take a pos car and make it look good. Jr is slightly better on car control, because he doesn't go slightly over the edge of control like Kyle does.
All that being said, I'd have to go with Jr because of the superiority of the HMS equipment.

hmmmm This is a question i love to ponder and have for years with various drivers. like yesterday i wondered how would kenny wallace do in the 24 car? *intrigued look*,back to your querry, (A) whos the better driver? (B) whos the better team? at Texas?...on sunday? right?
OK ,ATM the 5 program is better than the 8, who ever is in that ride will likely finish higher. The 5 team has shown the ability two keep all four wheels on the car for the whole race and not have engine parts come out the exhaust. *rolls eyes* something the 8 hasn't been able to do lately.
Man, to see the maturity that Kyle has shown this year is remarkable for such a young kid. Im blown away and he deserves so much credit, im a big fan of Kyle Bush now
JR? THAT BOY...HE GOOOOOOOD!
whos better? *puts on rose colored glasses* The way i see it, the difference in talent / ability. is marginal at best. and i never thought about it till now, but their styles are very similar, both are aggressive and both are right at home with a loose car. Im tellin ya, equal talents these two are. Their both on the top shelf of todays drivers. My fantasy finishing order on sunday? 8 takes the checkered in a photo finish just ahead of my hometown (el cajon, ca.) hero Jimmie Johnson, with the 24 taking a DNF *drops to knees and prays* LORD.......

Actually at Texas Kyle would do better in the #8 because the #5 car has been horrible through practice and qualifying.
The #8 looks decent this weekend. DEI looks good period this weekend.
Just sayin..
JR may actually win a race this weekend.
Ok if they both used qualifying settups for the race they would both be a lap down by lap 50.

Obviously the #5 car would finish better than the #8. It's like comparing apples and pumpkins (or something like that) I wouldn't want to be in that #8 car when it's being pushed to it's limits. It's like a ticking time bomb. They should do something for Budweiser as a grand finale. Maybe have special paint that changes color when the car burns up, or confetti exploding all over the track. Something that would be of better advertising for Budweiser. Because obviously whatever they're using the car for (experiments, finding a decent technician, etc.) it definately isn't being built to win any races!

Kyle has real driving talent, much more than fake Earnhardt. Kyle would win in the #8, Dale would find a way to blow up the #5 like he's been doing his car all year.

As a JR fan, I would say that it would be JR. He would defintly have a better car, and as my dad would say since it is Hendricks car, and Hendricks is paying off NASCAR, so that Jr can't when because he doesn't drive a hendricks car. But since the #5 is a hendricks car, he would finish higher. I asked this question at www.Inflieldparking.com to get their opinon on it.. The people there are very outspoken. If your a Nascar fan, this is a great site.

Well I am not much of a fan of either driver. But I would say that the # 8 car would finish higher. I think Jr is way over rated. I know the fans love him but he is NOT as good as people give him credit for.

I would have to go with JR. on equipment alone. I really don't think Theresa (his step-mother, and DEI overlord) gives a "RAT's BUTT" whether JR's ride even qualifies at this point.
