I have Microsoft Works and I just purchased Microsoft Office Professional. Do I need to remove Microsoft Works before I install Office?? Do I need to remove anything or will Office check for something like this when it installs?

You do not have to remove Works.
You can keep both programs on, but Works is not useful if you have the far more powerful Office Professional.
It is easy to remove by going to Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs.

You do not need to remove Microsoft Works. That is a totally different and separate program from Microsoft Office. However the programs in Microsoft Office will do many of the things you used to do with Microsoft Works and more

No, you don't need to remove Microsoft Word to install Office.

You can install it without removing the other. If it doesn't like it, it will guide you through the removal.

No need to remove it just pop it i and install it.

They work side by side.

no, they run side-by-side. i've seen people with word and works both. there is no conflict between ms office and ms works.
