I've done something really bad, and I don't want to go to Hell. Can you tell me which God is the real God of the thousands of different religions out there? I need to pray to him so I can get into heaven, thanks! You're considered a sinner if you believe in anything but the right God; everyone claims their God is the real one, so I don't want to get it wrong!

Damn, now that's what I call a religion! Provide an answer for one logical criticism of the concept of religion, and tell people they are free from their sins. I don't even have to pay them!

God is the same God for everyone. People connect with God differently. Don't worry about what traditional religions say, they have not been updated most of them, so that they can connect with God well enough, for the requirements of this age we live in. You need to develop your own connection with the definition and image of God, that works for you. Check out what some of the freer thinkler have said about God. Meditate/pray, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy, and don't over indulge, and you will get a closer connection spiritually, and this will help you form the image of God for you.

Ultimatly, no one can promise you that you've got the right god (or religion). In truth, you need to find the path that works for *you* - that brings out the best in you, not the worst, that gives you strength when you're frightened, not increases your fear.
And, really, faith should be something you go toward, that you seek out for the way it makes you feel - not fleeing the fear of some divine punishment.

I don't claim my GOd is the REAL God...it's the God I believe in is all. I've always fount it very arrogant for everyone to tell me I'm worng because I don't think of GOd the way they do...like they're the only one that can be right.

I'm Pentecostal and I believe in the One God try reading the holy bible king james version. get some devotional books and it will tell you about Christianity and how to receive Christ into your heart good luck :)

we're considered sinners no matter what, even those who believe in the real God. other "gods" are not proper names, so the real God is written with a capital G by the way. i believe in God who died for our sins; the One who is in the Holy Bible....that's our God....my God.
