Steve B & concerned are correct. Don't mess around w/ this. Listen to your doctor & discuss your concerns about any prescription medications w/ her.
The Mayo Clinic has an excellent website & you can do a search for your specific thyroid disorder. The information is clear & addresses alternative/complementary treatments.

I do not recommend not being on thyroid medication if you are hypothyroid. There's too much at risk, especially heart problems. If your thyroid is underactive and you want to try something natural, there is a natural thyroid medication that has been around for years. I have been on it for 5 years now and I feel so much better. It is adjusted by the free t4 and free t3 blood tests, not the TSH.

Steve B is right on with his answer. A thyroid condition should be treated by and followed up by A DOCTOR. You'll be glad you did.

You should see the doctor, it is a serious condition and you need proper attention. My husband has Thyroid Disease and takes one tiny, tiny, tablet each morning and that's it! So PLEASE make an appointment to see your doctor and discuss this with him.
Take care and let us know how you get on, we're thinking about you. ;) x

Though they have success stories, alternative medicines lack the impressive experimental studies, trying those will be your decision.
Good luck!
