Forgive; yes. Forget; no. Then how do you forgive? To forgive someone they need to recognize their wrong ,admit it, vow to not do this wrong anymore. If they refuse then there is no reason to for give them and other tactics are needed for your mental health.

Yes, I believe we should forgive others who hurt us, because it unburdens us. I think when we hold onto hateful feelings it tends to make us more critical. Forgiveness is a blessing for us. I'm not saying it's easy to do, and I believe the only way we can do it is with God's help.

Yes. I think it is essential to forgive someone who has hurt us. Cylon Betty put it very well with her quote. If you don't forgive that person, you continue to carry that hurt with you and in so doing, allow that person to continue to hurt you everyday. Forgiveness is about letting go of that pain. It is not about saying that what the other person did is ok, because it isn't. It is not about reconciling with that person, though that might be a possibility. But sometimes, it is better to distance yourself than to return to a relationship with them. . Either way, forgiveness is possible.

It is our duty to warn people of abusive type characters, so as to keep them safe. What negative things you tolerate are what you get in life. You should forgive those who are trying very hard to change, or have already change into a better person. You should not hold on to negative emotions to your detriment, that is related to these people. You should make your self stronger and more aware spiritually, to help prevent you from being a victim again. You should pray/meditate, eat healthy, do mind-body exercises, and not over indulge, so that you will be stronger, and more intune spiritually.

Yes I think We should forgive but I also Know that somethings are very hard to forgive. And I have been guilty of hurting others really bad so I guess I don't blame them if they can't forgive. But according to God and his Word we have to forgive. Because if we don't God plainly says he want forgive us. So I guess it takes alot of praying to be able to forgive when you have been hurt badly. But YES we have to forgive.

Absolutely. That doesn't mean we have to allow them to continue to do so, but that we should forgive them and move on with our lives. I read a really great quote that said, "Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die."
