If you're trying to lose fat and tone up, is whey protein really helpful? How much should you take everyday?

proteins/amino acids are a poor energy source. they are the least efficient energy source of the 3 macronutrient groups which are proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

proteins are for muscle repair and growth, carbohydrates and fats are for energy.

Best way to gain more energy is through carbs... Protein helps build muscle.

Eat carbs in the morning and protein the rest of the day. That'll do the job.
