In new home construction- I am trying to figure out how to not use a window covering on a beautiful oddly shaped window with am eyelash window above it in the kitchen. I want to have it look normal from the inside, but not have people be able to look in from the outside- especially at night. Any ideas?
Thank you.

thats a tough one. you could go to a home depot, etc. and buy the sticky privacy sheets (and cut them to size) that do the job, but you would see something or other from the outside.

other than getting treated glass, im not sure if there is anything to do.

there MIGHT be window coverings/treatments that act like treated glass- the kind in tinted car windows or double mirrors. there would be a slight difference in window tint, but it would have the effect you wanted.

hope that helps.

Buy a piece of laCe or find an old table cloth that is lacy and has a pattern of holes in it. There is a product that you spray over it that comes in a spray can that puts a lovely frosted look on the window that will be pleasing from the inside view and people will not be able to see in unless they have their face plastered to the window. YOu need to secure it with painter's tape and then spray it and carefully remove it before it is dry. You can reuse the same piece, just don't over-spray it and cause it to distort the pattern. Hopefully, you don't have a super modern looking kitchen as this wouldn't like right with this type of decor. Or perhaps they have the same thing that people put on car windows to tint them and they can see fine but you can't see them. Check out Lowes. com and see if they have a do it yourself window tinting kit

I doubt it. Even one way glass can be seen through if the lighting is reversed.

there is spray etching and etching in a bottle that you paint on - both work wonderful.
