Get quotes from several and also talk to an independent agent. You can find one in the phone book. They handle many companies and can often find the best deal for you. Geico is not cheap. I have had quotes from them and they were always a good bit higher than what I have.

I recommend you this site to get quotes - COVERCOMPARE.INFO-
RE I'm 23 and a female. I've never bought car insurance before. Who's cheaper Geico or Progressive?
Is wanting to pay $100 a month unrealistic?

Holy crap you've never bought car insurance??? But no 100 a month isn't unrealistic but that will all depend on your car. Don't go with the insurance companies that are mainly on tv, look around your town talk to insurance companies. Just compare different companies.

If you have an older car, clean driving record, and minimum coverage, you can probably get away with under $100 a month.
If you need full coverage, it's not realistic.
You'll have to get quotes from both to find out who's cheaper - it's not a one size fits all deal.

sorry but there is no cheap insurance for you. As a high risk your rates are going to be double if your lucky. You need to sit down take out the phone book and start calling insurance agents in the yellow pages. Write down the quotes. Do several then go back and pick the best one best of luck your going to need it.your brother has left you in a pickle that is for sure.

All depends on your vehicle and your driving record. Geico is better for repairs than Progressive. CSAA is one of the best and I agree that 21st Century (now owned by AIG) is one of the better ones as well. As far as repair of your vehicle I would stay away from Farmers, Infinity, Progressive, Nationwide (Allied). You get what you pay for. CSAA, 21st, State Farm, Travelers are all top notch when it comes to repairing your vehicle properly and using MOSTLY OEM parts.

It depends. I would call both or get a quote online. $100 per month is not unrealistic as long as you live in a cheap area, have a good driving record, good credit, and lower coverages.
