be sure you use products that are OK for color. Stay away from any sort of products that strip your hair of products. I used to use moisture maniac from bed head, thinking hey more moisture for my colored hair. Well, there was something in the product that was actually stripping the color from my hair. I switched to the brunette goddess line (i have brown hair) and lo and behold, my color stayed longer.
you also should use some sort of heat product on your hair if you plan to blow dry, curl, flat iron, etc. to protect the hair from heat, don't get chlorine from the pool or hot tub on your hair and you can also apply something like S-Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum to protect your hair from the elements.
also, washing every day won't help either. Most people, except those with really dry hair, probably don't need to wash their hair more than 3 - 4 times per week. Washing your hair every day will promote oily scalp.

Well, I know that red hair is the absolute WORST about fading - I know because I've gone that route and ended-up giving up because it was just too expensive as you really have to keep it up monthly. The only thing I can suggest is: (1) not wash your hair every day (which I like to do); and (2) when you do wash your hair, use products made specifically for color-treated hair. Also if you have the money, keep it maintained monthly. (Like I said - it's gets pretty expensive.)

Aveda has shampoo and conditioner that redistributes color back into your hair. For darker hair, use either clove or black malva. If you purchase from a salon, they may also mix colors to give you the perfect color. Just using the conditioner works well to provide color if you are on a tight budget and would prefer not to bother with the shampoo.

To make hair shade final longer attempt to no longer wash your hair too regularly and once you do, use cool water and not boiling warm. you need to use shampoo it rather is sulfate loose because of the fact sulfates strip your hair and roughen it up, constantly verify the ingredient record because of the fact no longer all shade risk-free shampoos are sulfate loose. i exploit professional naturals argan oil shampoo/conditioner, have been given them online at beyas. They’re loopy solid for hair so i desire to advise them. additionally dodge using warmth and hairspray, those boring shade out. Oh and once you go out, use a styling product with SPF in it because of the fact the sunlight additionally fades shade out.
