don't like stupid men? I had a date with this awesome girl... (yes! an actual date) funny, smart, kind... and we talked about everything. At the end of the date I drove her home hoping (but not expecting) to get a good night kiss. When we got to her house, I leaned in to kiss her and she pulled away. She stated that I was "too much of an intelect" for her and that she liked guys who were "less talkative about 'smart' things". She got out and left me sittin there.
I asked some female friends later on and they said that some girls actually LIKE dumb guys or guys that play dumb. I couldn't believe it! Stupid guys get the smart girls. Please tell me this isn't true. I'm intellegent and don't want to be lonely forever because of it.
Are women truly attracted to 'stupid' men?

Personally, I am annoyed by stupid people, men or women who talk too much. On the other hand, an intelect who talks and brags too much is equally annoying. Were you trying too hard to impress her by showing off how much you know? Men who talk too much are unnatural. Keep the conversation going, but don't talk non-stop. Don't keep talking about you, ask questions about her. If you do all the talking, you just repeat what you already know. Ask questions, listen, and learn. Even if she did like you, she doesn't have to kiss you or anything else. Next time be a gentleman and ask first.

No not at all...Not to sound cocky but I am a very attractive, sweet and intelligent women who loves intelligent, intellectual men. Actually, the last date I went on was with a guy who was very intelligent and deep. We could talk about anything, but sadly things didn't work about because he moved..
Anyway, she is probably not a "deep" person and just likes guys to be more simple minded. Everyones has their own preference. Maybe she likes to be the smarter one in the relationship so she doesn't feel inferior. She obviously just isn't the woman for you! There are women out there that like brains, believe me. I often think I will never find the "perfect" man because most men just want one thing but I'm not giving up ! Don't worry about it because you will find that women who admires your qualities someday.

I used to like this guy who was fairly dumb... I loved talking to him, but we never would have worked as a couple - I can't stand people who aren't at least somewhat intelligent. I know I sound cocky, and I'm sorry, I just mean that if a guy acts really stupid constantly, it's really annoying... It's the worst if he's faking, though. That's really what I don't like.
Anyway, most girls I think like guys who are smart. At least, they like guys who are at their intelligence level or better.

I like guys who are intelligent and preferably smarter than me! Sounds like she's not that smart after all. Forget about her, you deserve someone better.
And besides, if the guy was PLAYING dumb, I would be so mad.
You sound like a great guy, I'm sure you'll find an equally great girl. Don't stress about it, there are plenty of girls who like smart guys.

No ... girls just don't want to be made to feel stupid. If you're talking to her about Middle Eastern politics and she's answering with "uh huh", "yeah", or just nodding her head, you're making her feel stupid. Not your intention, I know. Just pay attention to how she's behaving: is she attentive, does she look at you when you're talking, does she seem like she wants to say something but doesn't, does she contribute to the conversation, etc. If you're talking over her head, she's not going to care if you've got a patent out for a microprocessor; she's not going to be interested.

stupid women are. There are plenty of smart women that love an intelligent conversation. The one you were with probably wanted to talk about tattoos and her nose stud..
