It is very interesting that there was only one question on this subject, on R & S ,when it is in the headlines everywhere else.
I personally believe that this was a hate crime and the "church" should be closed down. (I know that is not possible). Hate, prejudice, bigotry was only part of what this family suffered because of the horrible actions, of the members of this congregation.

If what those perverted sick disgusting ignorant slimeballs preach could be classified as Hate Speech, then yes they could be shut down. IF.

This lawsuit hopefully will open the way for that to happen. Don't count on it though. The best thing would be if suddenly these useless excuses for human beings would be struck dead by lightening, but that's not likely to happen either.

I feel most sorry for the kids that these perverts bring into the world and brainwash. Several of his children have left his fold and have no contact whatsoever with him, at least, so that's good.

I believe that someone that hateful of homosexuals to the point of absolute sick insanity is no doubt homosexual himself, and is probably taking out his own insane self hatred on his own male children and grandchildren, molesting them from the time they are very young children. I have no doubt that this is true and will come out in the news one day, probably by one of his own sons who has left the fold.

I agree with the person who said they cannot be shut down because of freedom of speech, on the Christian side of it, I feel so bad for the family and what they did was wrong, really wrong. I don't know any good pastor who would allow such a thing to go on at or around his church. God have mercy on them all.

Thankfully, they are a small group of people.

I was glad to see the verdict. Even though this group will appeal, it certainly sets the stage and lets them know that most do not agree with their ways.

I think a family has a right to bury their child in peace and privacy. That right should trump this groups right to free speech.

I can't even imagine having to deal with that while taking my son to the cemetery. That's just cruel and heartless.

I asked one....it was quickly removed by Yahoo.

I think that is not a "church"--it is a psychotic group of delusional morons.

To protest these things in front of a grieving parent is inexusable!! I hope these assholes get what's coming to them someday.
They have volated privacy, commandments, and basic human DECENCY!

I think the judgement is a travesty. There is no way that the family suffered in any significant way from the exercise of free speech by a bunch of lunatics.

There have been many questions and comments about it..

I think the fine was too small actually but it won't stop the haters from spreading their venom.

The judgment of the court was entirely justified.
