I've been thinking about my first dance song a lot lately. For a while I was set on U2's "All I want is you." But I've heard that's become pretty popular and it's very difficult to dance to, both of which make me second guess using that song.

So I started searching for other people's first dance songs or just recommended wedding music, and I came across someone who danced to "Crash," by Dave Matthew's Band. That is very original to me! Not my fav band, but very interesting choice.

So what is the most original first dance song you've heard of?

(Please stick to the Rock genre, or contemporary Pop genre, if possible, or I won't know what you are talking about).

I had two friends that married each other and they both loved odd music... they danced to a Marilyn Manson song... I have NO IDEA what the title was... but neither of them were big dancers. They hopped around and head banged... it was so "them".

Pick something you like and everyone will think it is great... they don't have to "get it"!!!

OMG! We had that U2 song for our first dance! (I had never heard it at any other weddings we'd been to though.) I did not think it was tough to dance to, but it was a bit long, so we had the DJ fade it out before the actual end of the song. Anyway, I do like "Crash" by Dave Matthew's Band. There is also "Crazy For You" by Madonna, "Faithfully" by Journey, "More Than Words," by Extreme, "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, and "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. Good luck with your decision!

my friends aunt is a minister. She was telling us she went to a wedding. The couple choose Picture by Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow. They didn't listen to the words they just liked the tune. I would not suggest you use it though.

Our current choice is "Everyday" by Buddy Holly.
But I really wanted "You & Me" by Alice Cooper
My fiance nixed that option, and it is such a beautiful song!! He liked it, but didn't want that as our first dance, I was bummed.

I've actually considered the song "crush" by dmb. I would go with that one if you like it and it suits you, that is all that matters!
