sometimes there are certain things that are not meant for us to know. we need to just live our life day by day.

Atheist.
The universe as we see it now started with the big bang.
However, that does not answer your question because it just means we need an explanation of where the big bang came from. . . . .
M theory offers one possibility. Where an 11 dimensional multiverse comes from is a much harder question when you start realizing that time is just one of those 11 dimensions, so "when" gets a very different meaning than it does to us now.
The answer I am really forced to is "I do not know" However, it is interesting looking over the shoulders of those trying to find out.
Fundamentally I am forced to chose between:
A multiverse popping into existence, or always having existed, with a set of relatively simple laws that allow the interaction within that multiverse to spawn of other universes.
An (allegedly) infinitely complex sentient being popping into existence, or always having existed, who then goes on to create a huge universe for life to come about in a rather inefficient and haphazard way.
The probability that something as extremely complex as a deity would come into existence rather than something relatively simple clearly says to me that the natural explanation is by far the most likely.
It is possible that the plants grow from invisible faeries building them in the night time. But that possibility does not make it worth believing it.
Edit:
The Christian response seems to be consistent:
God always was, and our brains are to puny to even think about that concept, so do not bother.
Why is this valid, but saying "The universe (or multiverse) has always existed, but infinity is a hard concept, so do not worry if you can not get your brain around it" is immediately discarded?

No one knows. Only assumptions about this subject. We came here on earth but how? Where we are heading?
Till what time could our civilization exist?
I don't have answer but every one can make assumptions which comes down to the molecular level.
I believe that it is a very vast story in which time scale of ours cannot be measured.
Man only had come to this planet a moment ago he had to learn a lot more to explain this.
As one said we had only learned only a grain of sand on this vast beach. Much more to learn for us humans.

When you ask where did God come from, you are trying to put him on the same plane as we are. If God did create all that we are aware of, then he also created things, like space and time. if this is the case 'where did he come from ' is not a legitimate question. We are taught that he has always been, and will always be, When I was in school, I was taught that if you took a beam of light and shined it in to the sky that if the particles remained focused and did not spread that unless it collided with something it would go on forever. If man can understand that, then he should be able to understand that the one who created everything that is, does now conform to the laws that we are bound by.

God has always existed. The only reason we have trouble understanding and believing this is because our minds have trouble grasping the concept of something that isn't limited by time like we are - Someone with no beginning or end. We are temporal. God exists outside of time - after all, He created time!

I think it has always existed as a 3 brane of sorts floating in higher dimensional space. The big bang was a result of a collision with another brane.

God did not come from anything. He always was and always will be. He's eternal.
We humans cannot understand this because we are limited by our experience. We just cannot understand anything that does not fit in with our concept of time.
It's a mystery... but maybe we'll finally understand it when we get to heaven!

don't know. perhaps the universe always existed. our concept of time is very limited. but the universe may have been around forever. maybe cycling through various states, etc.

God came from nothing. He always was, is, and will be. Saying He was created by something or someone puts them above God, which is impossible. It's hard to comprehend, but then again, so is global warming- but its still happening.

God is the Alpha and the Omega. This means He has always existed. God does not have a creator, therefore, He does not have a beginning. The universe has a creator, therefore, it has a beginning.
