The point of the Law was to show us that we needed grace. No one is able to keep the Law perfectly. Read the OT, if you think I'm wrong. If you claim to be perfect, you're lying. The Bible says that if we even look with lust on someone we've already committed adultery in our hearts. That standard is too high. It is a goal and we need to have our hearts changed which only God can do. But we will not be perfect until there is a new heaven and a new earth. I don't know why so many people call Christians hypocrites, we shouldn't be claiming to be perfect, only forgiven. Coming closer to Christ-likeness is a transformation that we should see over time. If there is no power and no transformation, then you are probably not submitted to him. More "Christians" need to ask themselves whether or not they feel God's power in their lives. So what if you believe? Demons believe and it's not doing them any good. Ask God to exert his power in your life. That's what makes living for God so amazing!

It would be entertaining if it were not so pathetic when people try to connect obedience to the 10 commandments with belief/faith in God.
So... how did Abraham and the other patriarchs manage without the ten?
And if that were not pathetic enough on your part, you have to conclude with an accusation against others, contrary to the very command of Jesus Christ.
Tell me, you who claim to know so much... how can someone who was not a party to the old covenant, which has as its core the ten commandments, be held to the conditions of said covenant? And if that were not enough, this covenant ended.
Pathetic big time.

Excuse me - dont show your ignorance in a cheap manner!!
Before ppl were told to obey the 10 commandments, if not they wuld be punished accordingly. So fearing the law, they obeyed.
BUT now Christ tells us to obey the commandments because you love GOD. Thats why now this 10 commandments now summed up to say , Love your GOD whole-heartedly AND to love your neighbours. We pray that GOD grant us Grace every moment to do so. AMEN!

once you're a Christian, then why are you attempting to the ten commandments? you're no longer a occasion to that covenant regulation, and that covenant regulation ended. Your command related to your mothers and dads is to love them, which suits way previous in basic terms honoring them (giving them their due know). The commandment interior the ten does not say you obey your mothers and dads. .

Jesus says not one word of the law will be removed. We show our love to God by obeying Him. So though we will inevitably fail, as we are transformed we should be trying our best to obey Him.

Obeying god and believing him are entirely different things. This doesn't make sense in any way. Think harder on it.

I guess that would depend on which god you are referring to.
Even if you insist that the Christian God is the only possibility, it is still possible to believe in that God without following his laws. People have been doing it for millenia.

the 10 commandments were only 10 of about 600
we are not in the old testament times we arre under grace not the law
Jesus said
Matt 22 36Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38This is the first and great commandment.
39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Yes you still can believe in God. It just mean you don't love him. Lucifer Disobeyed God and look where he ended but he did it intentionally. It depends if you are breaking them intentionally or accidental. At the end God knows everyone's heart.
