Sound notification will not work in Outlook Express 6.0?

Question

Have gone to tools and checked and rechecked the setting to play sound notification when new mail message is received but it still does not work. Can anyone help with this please. Thank You.

If your PC plays all other audio, and your OE settings are correct:

Your PC is infected with malware.
